Astronomy Interest Group (AIG)
The AIG electronic mailing list is an educational service periodically informing subscribers of exciting discoveries in astronomy and the latest news in Space Science.
Articles are short, to the point and non-technical - often with colourful images attached. Messages seldom exceed 100K in size and I send out approximately one message every two weeks.
I established the AIG mailing list in 1999 while working at the Durban Natural Science Museum in South Africa. At present it consists of over 160 people interested in astronomy from as far afield as Africa, Australia and Europe - and the list includes absolute beginners, teachers, school students, journalists, as well as professional astronomers.
To be added to the current list you need to first become a member of the ScottishPower Space Theatre Astronomy Interest Group, or alternatively you can just be nice to me.
