Hello again AIG members (and one or two others...)

You may want to diarise the following upcoming event:

A combined BRAAI and telescope VIEWING EVENING of Durban's three astronomy societies, ie:

- UND Astronomy Society
- Astronomy Interest Group
- Astronomical Society

......will be held at the university sports grounds on the evening of THURSDAY 7th OCTOBER from 6:30PM.

Braais will be provided - all you need to bring is chairs, meat, drink and of course all the telescopes and binoculars that you can find (!) :-)

The sky being clear, we will not only be able to view the moon and at least three planets (including Saturn and its rings), but also colourful individual stars, as well as both compact and loose clusters of extremely distant stars.

Of course there should also be satellites and shooting stars aplenty. I will remind you and give you more details closer the time.
