Durban Astronomy Going Strong

29-09-99

Hi there AIG members and others

Last night's meeting at the Natural Science Museum was a resounding success, with 67 persons attending.

It was nice to have members of all three Durban astronomy societies present, as well as newcomers, and Dr Hamish Campbell as well.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the presentation, and hopefully had a small taste of the thrill of the European eclipse event.

The audience appeared to also be impressed by the European Science Centres they saw, and very happy to hear that a travelling exhibition from Techniquest (Cardiff, Wales) will be hosted at the Natural Science Museum these coming summer holidays.
