CommQuest Finally Here!

10-11-99

Hello AIG members & other science enthusiasts

The CommQuest hands-on science exhibition from Wales has finally arrived in Durban (well, it arrived quite a while ago but the container could not be cleared due to a strike at the harbour.....).

Today the exhibits were installed at the Exhibition Centre (see attached images) and will be on display there until next Tuesday - after which they will move to the Natural Science Museum for two months.

Entrance to see CommQuest is free - both at the Exhibition Centre presently, and at the Natural Science Museum.

Be sure to take your friends and family to see the exhibition - and have everyone share in some interactive science fun!

For those interested in astronomy, there is an interesting exhibit called "The Orb", which involves spinning a big blue sphere around and thereby simulating the cloud patterns on Jupiter.

After Durban, CommQuest will move on to Richards Bay, Giyani, Johannesburg and Grahamstown.
